I really hope that my second game(if I ever get past these super defense hurdles) that I get some bonuses to make subsequent games easier, mainly excellent Monks, especially with Guard Cancel or Diviners. I'm also fighting the One-Eyed House and have caught 3 of the unique generals(Orime, Noir, and Nogiku) but cant take that last subterritory because Masamune can kill my rance in 2 hits in the character battle after the regular one. so I cant outpace them for damage or use Tacticians 'lower battle points' to push through for a win. In many "growth" type games taking time out and growing your characters with better stats in a huge part, but Sengoku Rance requires rushing through the first half or else you completely lose all the strong units you need for the mid-late game.Ĭertain events happen randomly but WILL happen on certain turns no matter what I do(like Suzaku appearing one turn before Soun appears).Īt present I have only 3 territories left to the demon Army, one of which only has 1 sub territory left(Amazon) but the enemy has about 12000 monster units there. I lost access to Motonari Mori and Chinu, his daughter because of that. An example is the Takuga and Mori House, I attacked them after honnoji, very quickly after takeda(which I beat in turns) but didnt have enough to fight their unique characters, as they were all in 3000 sized units to mine which were about 750-1000, with a mix of elite and just strong characters. and Be able to more easily able to conquer certain houses. If I had time I could do events to raise affection and therefore stats, raise the size of my units, etc. And to really give the takeda a middle finger, bring along a commander who can remove buffs xD You must have at least one footmen available for the cavalry charge but, footmen is optional but nice to have against the assassin/tactican super general. >.>Īs for Takeda's charge if you really want to handle it, You'll need at minimum of four footmen if you're crazy like I am. That's what I did, I didn't lose a whole unit to infected on my first play through most they did was reduce my troop strength overall in numbers and lockdown a unit for a turn or two and then it's usable again. But if you can't avoid being hit, let the enemy win the battle. I remember that avoiding them is pretty fairly easy basically, if they attack, and you can avoid being hit by them in a battle, engage the army. I believe houju shon guy for ran will never appear again in historical route, I cannot remember meh.Īs for the infected.

I think it may be some dungeon, but dont know.Īre you playing historical route? in that case, you cannot do kenshin/ran/isorku's paths. Well Now I need to find out how to free Sill from Ice. They can financially ruin me when they can costs 10-50000 gold in damage each turn, but the AI sometimes is stupid and puts them in the back row. I also have to watch out for the units of Infected that cause Permanent damage to my units. I wonder if the fact that I saved Soun before finding Kouhime and attacking Honnoji is doing it I am still waiting for Soun Hojo to appear 20 turns later, and now Im trying to get Suzaku to kill a generic captain. Maria is think is supposed to be some kind of super musketeer(cannoneer), and Leila is a super Swordsmen(Knight) unit. Maria and Leila I cant get yet Until I capture Morocco(which is taking a long time. Hanami(the only one I can get before Demon Army) is a moderate Ninja unit, nothing really special(weaker than Suzume). Magic, the princess is better than Rizna in terms of damage. Uruza is a great captain, and very useful as the arent as many second rank captains, but amassing people like her Tourin Sanada, Natori, Ai Naoe, and some others is great. Dont know what stat affects her Fire Blast attack(Offense or Intelligence?). Rizna is pretty good, expensive to recruit more for her but generally worth it. Out of the 6 Reinforcement captains, the Zeths ones I get earlier.
